The Boys are Back
Do you remember the Maginot
Arena in the 70¢s? Do you remember the 1977-78 series against the Charleswood
Hawks? Do you remember Bram, Contant, Wiebe, Matthes, Goulet, Savard, Heaton,
and Richardson?
Well the Boys are Back on
February 27th at the Southdale Arena, as the St. Boniface Riels
Alumni take on the 2010 team. Game time is 7:00 and you do not want to miss
it! Come re-visit the past as we you to join us as we take you down memory
lane. There will be a meet and greet, a charity hockey game and night of
stories, poker, and laughs. The game will be in honor of Robert Vielfaure, who
was a member of the 1977 Riels. Robert broke his neck roughly 30 years ago and
we want to continue the quest of finding a cure for paralysis and support the
Shoot For A Cure Campaign that Kerry Goulet heads up. Shoot For A Cure funds
research for neurotrama injuries such as concussions and spinal cord injuries.
You will have the opportunity to bid on lots memorabilia from past and future
along with Team Canada articles. This is a celebration of hockey and we want
you to be a part of it. There will be a large screen TV to watch the Olympics
with us and if Team Canada is playing, we will have the game on the screen.
Only an exclusive number of
collector items will be produced so order yours now. Only 30 jerseys will be
made and the game worn jerseys will be auctioned at the after party. A special
program will be sold and will be limited, so order yours today.
